Coach Brad comes from a long personal history of Indiana swimming from swimming as a club and high school athlete at Noblesville Swim Club. Brad went on to continue his swimming career at Eastern Michigan University where he was team captain his senior year. Brad has swam at all levels and set many records at each level. While at Eastern Michigan Brad majored in Physical Education with a minor in communications.  Brad developed a passion to teach others to swim throughout his collegiate career and therefore has taken on many positions in various areas to help young athletes achieve their goals and gain his same passion for swimming. Some of his most notable accomplishments is mentoring 10+ Academic All Americans, 7 All Americans, 1 USA Swimming All American and was voted as conference and sectional coach of the year by his peers as the head coach at Yorktown High School and Mt. Vernon High School in addition he has was named the Coach of the Year by the Daily reporter in 2022. As an age group coach he has coached over 31 swimmers to the zone championships as well as 10 swimmers at the junior and senior national levels of USA Swimming. Brad's swimmers have set many new club and school records and have learned that their hard work pays off at the highest competitions for them.  

There is nothing more exciting than to watch a new swimmer finally get the feel of the water and get confidence to achieve their goals. Perfect practice translates to perfect racing, is the theory he loves to build on and inspire from. 

Coach Katie began swimming right here at Mt. Vernon in the 6^th grade. She enjoyed a healthy swimming career in Middle School and High School for Mt. Vernon. She enjoys swimming for the workout now and loves getting to coach. She has taught lessons in high school and college and enjoys getting to work with the younger athletes to instill a love for swimming and building confidence. Katie works full-time for Community Health Network as a Medical Staff Coordinator. She married her husband Zach in 2018 and they have a son named Maxwell that enjoys being at the pool as much as his mom!

Coach Danielle began swimming competitively at the age of 7 for Merrillville Aquatic Club, up in Northwest Indiana. Danielle continued swimming during her high school career competing at the state level each year and setting many school records. Danielle went on to attend Ball State University where she majored in Athletic Training and minoring in Aquatics. After working for Ortho Indy for almost ten years, Danielle is now a stay-at-home mom of three children, Braylen, Payton and Beckett.  

Danielle has taught swim lessons since she was in high school and continued teaching through college. Danielle has always loved the sport of swimming and excited to share her love with our athletes.
